1667, builds 1st successful reflecting telescope, using design, materials, methods & processes of his own invention.
1668, builds 2nd copy of reflecting telescope.
1668, July 7, N (25), received Master of Arts.
1668, August, N (25), visits London for 1st time.
1669, only one scholar knew of Newton’s brilliance: Isaac Barrow, Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge.
1669, October 29, Newton (26), appointed the 2nd Lucasian Professor of Mathematics, to succeed Isaac Barrow.
1670, Jan, N (27) gave his 1st Lucasian lecture, on the nature of light, as revealed by his own experiments.
